WWE Smackdown Live Results September 17 2019

WWE Smackdown Live is from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia this week, featuring the Coronation of King Corbin. Kofi Kingston and his fellow New Day members Xavier Woods and Big E will face off against Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson of The Revival along with Randy Orton. Also, Shane McMahon will address the firing of Kevin Owens and Erick Rowan will sit down for an interview after the events of Clash of Champions.

Six Man Tag Team Match
The New Day vs. The Revival and Randy Orton: The New Day wins by Pinfall.

Shinsuke Nakamura with Sami Zayn vs. Ali: No Contest.

Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks: Charlotte Flair wins by Disqualification.

Heavy Machinery vs. The B Team: Heavy Machinery wins by Pinfall.

Six Man Tag Team Match
The New Day vs. The Revival and Randy OrtonThe New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods) vs. Randy Orton and The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson)

 

Kofi Kingston scores the Pinfall victory over Scott Dawson after Trouble in Paradise. After the match Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman come out on stage. Kingston tells Big and Xavier Woods to back off. Lesnar and Heyman enter the ring and Heyman speaks for Lesnar, challenging Kingston to a match for the WWE Championship at the SmackDown premier Friday, October 4th on Fox. Kingston accepts the challenge and Lesnar delivers the F5 to Kingston.

 

Bayley and Sasha Banks Backstage Interview with Kayla Braxton

Sasha notes that she has been in a Hell in a Cell match and Becky Lynch has not. As for Charlotte, Bayley says Banks will answer those questions in the ring.

 

Erick Rowan Interview with Michael Cole

Erick Rowan says he is no one’s lackey and he is far superior to Daniel Bryan mentally and physically. He says the entire WWE will learn to never disrespect him again.

 

Shinsuke Nakamura with Sami Zayn vs. Ali

No Contest. Before the match, Sami Zayn taunts Ali saying he will never be a champion. Ali attacks Shinsuke Nakamura who grabbed Ali from behind while Zayn distracted him with the taunts. Nakamura beats up Ali and finishes him off with the Kinshasa. Because the match

 

Kevin Owens Enters the Arena

Kevin Owens enters the arena with the spectators using a purchased ticket. Owens has a security escort. The screen cuts to Shane McMahon, who is watching on a monitor. As McMahon leaves to deal with this, he is served legal papers.

 

Shane McMahon In Ring

Shane McMahon calls Kevin Owens to the ring and tells security to leave. Owens has served McMahon with a $25 million wrongful termination lawsuit. McMahon says Owens has no case, but Owens explains he has a quite a strong position. McMahon fined Owens $100,000 for assaulting an official. When Owens was an official for McMahon’s match last week, McMahon assaulted and fired Owens after McMahon tapped out to Chad Gable. Owens reveals that not only is the case for millions of dollars, but when he wins Owens will come back and tell Shane McMahon he is fired.

 

 

Ric and Charlotte Flair in the Locker Room

 

Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks with Bayley

Charlotte Flair wins by Disqualification when Bayley attacks Flair who had Banks in the Figure Eight. Bayley and Banks both attack Flair after the match, but Carmella runs in to make the save. Flair and Carmella clear Banks and Bayley out of the ring.

 

The Coronation of King CorbinThe Coronation of King Corbin

Baron Corbin is relishing being King of the Ring and invites Chad Gable out. Corbin taunts Gable and makes short jokes until Gable snaps and attacks Corbin.

 

 

Heavy Machinery (Otis Dozovic and Tucker Knight) vs. The B Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel)

Heavy Machinery wins by Pinfall after the Compactor.

Daniel Bryan In Ring

Bryan says Erick Rowan was his equal and his friend, Rowan comes out and disagrees and Luke Harper attacks Bryan from behind. Roman Reigns comes out to save Bryan, but ultimately Harper and Rowan gain control and destroy Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, security, and the ringside area.
