Botches

  • The timing on this show seemed off. The first commercial break during the Styles vs. Bryan match came abruptly, and some great moments took place during that break. Luckily it was on side-by-side view for that break.

Bodyslams

  • AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan was a PPV quality match to open the show. These two men put on a clinic, and they deserve a grand stage next time.
  • Trick or Street Fight. The Brood Day was amazing, and this was one of the better holiday gimmick matches.
  • Fabulous Truth are on fire and it is clear they are having fun together while owning this pairing.

Smackdown Live opened with a high quality match to address Daniel Bryan not going to Saudi Arabia. This was the best side effect of the contentious event on WWE television so far. The first hour of the show was incredible, but the pacing of the second hour was jarring. However, all of the matches on this show were excellent. The four men in the main event are all future Hall of Famers, and it showed when these masters worked together to bring their unique offerings to the match. This is the kind of show that will make first time viewers come back for more.
