Wisconsin school kids find dead man on the way to school
School district officials in Wisconsin say six children on their way to school found a dead man near a church.
When the children arrived at Hoover Elementary School, they reported they had found a man lying on the ground near CrossPoint Church and that he was unresponsive. Their principal called West Allis police who determined the man was dead.
Deputy Police Chief Robert Fletcher said the investigation is ongoing and that police are not releasing the man’s name or information about how he died at this time.
Fletcher added that police “are not searching for any suspects and there is not a danger to the public.”
Police also are contacting a Lane Intermediate School student who may also have seen the man.
Counselors have been dispatched to the schools to counsel the students
