Winter Jam 2018 kicks off in Charleston West Virginia, Louisville and Grand Rapids
The largest Christian concert tour in America officially kicked off this weekend with shows in Charleston West Virginia, Louisville, Kentucky and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The Winter Jam twitter ignited, sharing a great photo of Kari Jobe: “Kari Jobe didn’t hold anything back tonight! Thank you Charleston, West Virginia for helping us kick off the first show of #WinterJam 2018! – at Charleston Civic Center” – @winterjamtour
Jobe is part of the massive lineup which includes Skillet, Building 429, KB, Newsong, Jordan Feliz and comedian John Crist.
“We’ll be going a lot of places I don’t usually play, which is nice,” Crist said, previewing the first weekend of the 45 city tour which is a great night of family friendly entertainment. “I think we’re gravitating back toward something like Jimmy Fallon, who is family friendly,” Crist said. “He’s someone you can watch with your kids, with your grandparents.”
Pastor Nick Hall is also on the ticket and praises the musicians and their connection to audiences.
“KB is cutting edge. He is really a prophetic voice in our day. He is somebody on the front lines trying to flesh this out, what it means to follow Jesus in a world of need,” Hall said in a new interview published by Tampabay.com. “Skillet, they play in clubs and non-religious settings. They are actively out trying to build relationships with people. Kari Jobe is one of the best worship artists there is today. When she sings you encounter God. It’s really a great tour.”
Tickets are $15 at the door. Doors open at 5 p.m. Check the Jam Tour site for dates/locations near you – HERE
