I had the opportunity to talk with the author of a CDC-MMWR “Notes from the Field”  , EIS Officer & Neurologist with CDC’s Arboviral Diseases Branch, Daniel Pastula, MD, MHS on today’s airing of the Outbreak News This Week Radio Show.

During the interview, Dr. Pastula discussed the following aspects of Heartland virus disease–classification, epidemiology, signs and symptoms, possible vector and transmission to humans, treatment and prevention.
