Wayne Brady heads to Mahaffey Theater in St Pete on October 13

Comedian Wayne Brady brings his hilarious new tour to the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater on Sunday, October 13th at 7:00pm. Ticket prices are $65, $55, $45, $35 and can be purchased online at www.TheMahaffey.com, by phone (727) 300-2000, or at the Box Office located at 400 1st St. South Downtown St. Pete. The Box Office is open 11am – 5pm Monday through Saturday.

Six-time Emmy award-winning and Grammy nominated actor, singer, dancer, improviser, songwriter and television personality  Wayne Brady  continues to bring powerful performances to the screen and stage.  Brady can currently be seen as the host of CBS’s “Let’s Make A Deal” and his work as a regular on the improvisational comedy television series, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?,” both the original ABC and the current CW version, has become synonymous with off-the-cuff brilliance. He recently appeared as a series regular on the Emmy award-winning CBS daytime drama, “The Bold and the Beautiful.” He is currently nominated for a Daytime Emmy for his work on the show. Brady produced and starred in a highly rated summer sketch show and Emmy-winning talk show for ABC before joining forces with Dave Chappelle to create the now classic “Training Day” sketch. Brady returned to his theatrical roots with a successful Broadway debut as Bill Flynn in “Chicago,” and received rave reviews starring as Lola in the Tony® Award winning production of “Kinky Boots.” His Broadway path continued with a 3-month run starring as Aaron Burr in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony® Award winning production of “Hamilton” in Chicago. Brady’s debut studio album “A Long Time Coming” earned him a Grammy nomination. He has also lent his vocal talents to both Disney’s animated series “Sofia the First,” and Nickelodeon’s “Loud House.” His television credits include “Colony,”  ”30 Rock,” “Everybody Loves Chris,” “Dirt,” ”How I Met Your Mother,” and “Don’t’ Forget the Lyrics, among others.

The Mahaffey Theater, under the management of Big3 Entertainment, is one of Tampa Bay’s top-rated performing arts venues. Home to the Florida Orchestra, the world class Mahaffey Theater hosts top-quality national and international artists and performances – pop, rock, comedy, theater, dance, classical and interactive engagements and exhibitions. Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts supports performing arts programming at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater. We provide arts education programs for youth, community outreach programs, and performances as well as concerts for the entire community with emphasis on diverse programming for youth, underserved audiences and families. Each year more than 20,000 school children are provided a field trip experience to learn Florida State curriculum through a live theater performance. This Class Acts Educational Performance series is in its 27th season and serves students from six counties. Additionally, the Foundation ensures that funding is in place to continue providing diverse programming in the theater for the general public.
