Wanda Threadgill, California found dead, stabbed in plastic, investigation ongoing
A California was found dead in her home after being missing for two weeks. A homicide investigation was underway Wednesday after the woman was found dead inside her Los Angeles home Tuesday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Wanda Threadgill, age 45, was found dead inside her South Los Angeles apartment after relatives contacted police when they hadn’t heard from her for a couple of weeks.
“After not getting a response at the door, they forced entry into the home, and they found their mother laying in her bedroom on the floor, deceased,” LAPD Det. Chris Barling said.
The coroner responded to the scene Tuesday evening, officials said.
Family members stated that the woman was stabbed and wrapped in plastic, but investigators could not confirm that information.
The woman’s exact cause of death was not immediately known, and it was also unclear how long she had been dead.
Anyone with information about this case was asked to contact the LAPD at 1-877-527-3247.
