‘Walking Dead’ star Jon Bernthal says ‘Mob City’ season 2 uncertain

Jon Bernthal has said that the future of Mob City is “up in the air”.

Jon Bernthal as Det Joe Teague on Mob City“As of now nothing’s been set in stone either way,” Bernthal, who plays shady detective Joe Teague told Digital Spy as the show debuts in the UK.

“I’ve kind of been out of the whole thing, but I really feel like right now that’s completely up in the air.”

Bernthal discusses how he agreed to the show before even seeing the script.

“I mean, it’s Frank,” the actor explained. “He’s my friend, he’s my brother and I owe him so much. I didn’t need to see a script, I didn’t need to see a contract. Later he sent me the first 15 pages of the Mob City script and I got so excited… but I was already in.”

Darabont and Bernthal teamed up for AMC’s hit show The Walking Dead, so the partnership is not surprising.

The cast from season one included Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia, Neal McDonough (FX’s Justified, Captain America: The First Avenger), Edward Burns (Saving Private Ryan), Alexa Davalos (The Chronicles of Riddick, Clash of the Titans) and Star Trek Into Darkness star Simon Pegg.
