Mob City, previously called Lost Angels and L.A. Noir (no relation to the video game), looks to be a grim and gritty take on the crime and corruption in the supposed city of angels.
Indeed, for those looking for a serialized form of 1997’s LA Confidential, search no more.
The six-part series, based on the book L.A. Noir: The Struggle For The Soul of America’s Most Seductive City by John Buntin, is set in 1947 Los Angeles where Police Chief William Parker (Neal McDonough) seeks to wage war on criminal underworld big wigs Bugsy Siegel (Ed Burns) and Mickey Cohen (Jeremy Luke).
The trailer highlights that Jon Bernthal, Shane from TWD, who will figure prominently as a detective in the graying lines of the crime war.

The series will premiere on Wednesday, December 4 at 10pm.
