‘Walking Dead’ star Chad Coleman joins ‘Arrow’ season 5 as gangster Tobias Church
A popular The Walking Dead star is coming to CW’s Arrow season five as Chad Coleman is confirmed for a role on the popular superhero themed show.
Chad L. Coleman played Tyreese on the AMC’s The Walking Dead and will now play Tobias Church, a new villain on the show.
According to IGN, Tobias Church is a gangster who draws a bead on uniting different criminal organizations in Star City and plans on leading them.
TV Line earlier reported that the role is inspired by Idris Elba’s Stringer on The Wire. Despite not having superpowers, he is one force Oliver Queen must reckon with as he aims at destroying the leader of Team Arrow so that no one can get on his way to get what he wants.
Variety reports that Madison McLaughlin will return to the show still as Evelyn Sharp.
Fans will recall that in the previous season of the show, the actress imitated the already dead Black Canary (Katie Cassidy). Upon her return, though, she will establish an original persona for herself in the character of Artemis, another arrow-wielding DC comic book character.
Arrow returns to The CW on Oct. 5 for its season 5.
