‘Walking Dead’ season 4 preview: set injury, teasers and romance news
While news of an on-set injury has delayed production, the fourth season of AMC’s popular series, The Walking Dead, is expected to return next month.
According to a report on 11Alive News, AMC’s The Walking Dead had to temporarily halt filming last week after a production member was injured in an on set accident. The accident occurred on Friday, September 6, and the injury was serious enough that the injured party had to be airlifted from the Senoia, Georgia filming location to a metro Atlanta hospital.
Fortunately, according to an AMC spokesperson, the injuries turned out to not be life-threatening, and the injured production member has already been released from the hospital.
Meanwhile, in the latest teaser it’s Hershel who states the most intriguing remark: “Everything we’ve been working so hard to keep out, just found its way in.”
The next teaser is a just a vast array of images and a “Please help me” plea….followed by a gunshot.
Daryl and Michonne lead the escape from a car attack in the clip below. “What the hell do we do?” Bob Stuckey yells. Then Michonne and Daryl show him how it’s done with a katana and a crossbow. Stuckey is played by Lawrence Gilliard Jr.
Speaking of Michonne, rumors started to swirl that her and Rick could get into a relationship in the new season.
Series creator Robert Kirkman revealed he “wouldn’t necessarily rule a romance out,” but he reminds fans that Rick’s “wife did just die in a horrible way, so I don’t think any kind of romance is really on his radar just yet,” according to TV Line.
“They are definitely forming a friendship,” Kirkman acknowledged. “They have a very large mutual respect for each other because of their capabilities and their ability to trust one another, and I think that’s a lot of what was growing in the [Season 3] episode where they both went off on a run together.”
The Walking Dead returns October 13 on AMC.
Check out the new synopsis for season 4:
“In the highly anticipated new season, we find Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the group fostering a thriving community in the safe haven of the prison. Sadly, in this brutal world, happiness is short-lived and walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group’s home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous.”
