Walid Abdelhamid, Winnipeg doctor found guilty of sexually assaulting paralyzed teen boy

A former doctor, who worked at the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital, has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy while the teen was paralyzed.

Walid Abdelhamid, age 32, was found guilty of sexual assault on Friday, almost four years after the teen was assaulted while he lay paralyzed in the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital. He will be sentenced later this year.

Walid AbdelhamidThe now-18-year-old told the court during the trial that he awoke twice in the middle of the night to find Abdelhamid fondling him. Both incidents occurred when he was immobilized and being dosed with morphine for pain.

In 2009, the boy was injured in a motocross accident and admitted to the hospital.

After charges were filed later that year, the Libyan-born doctor fled to Greece. In 2011, he was extradited back to Canada.

A videotaped police interview was taken in his hospital room hours after the alleged attacks. A copy of the statement was played in court and shows the boy in obvious physical discomfort hooked up to tubes as he awaits surgery.

“At first I was thinking it was like normal and he was checking something,” he told police in the statement.

A key issue at trial was the youth’s state of mind as a result of being medicated. Defence lawyer Marty Minuk repeatedly suggested the young man may have been too high to comprehend what happened. But he denied that was the case, saying he knew exactly what was going on.

“The whole time I was pretending to sleep,” he told police in the interview played in court. The incident only lasted a few seconds before a nurse walked in and Abdelhamid quickly pulled his hands back and left the room. “I felt scared and just wanted to forget about it,” he explained when asked by police whether he told anyone what had happened.

During the second event Abelhamid was attempting to perform oral sex on the child.

“I told him to stop, asked him what he was doing,” he said. Abdelhamid allegedly fled again, and this time the teen rang the buzzer to summon a nurse and disclose what had just happened. His parents were also notified and police were called in immediately.

He alleged Abdelhamid touched him inappropriately on at least two occasions while he lay paralyzed in a hospital bed.

After charges were laid later that year, the Libyan-born doctor fled to Greece. In 2011, he was extradited back to Canada.

THIS ARTICLE IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THE “TRAP” SET BY BOYS WHO CAN NOT DEAL WITH THE FEELINGS RELATING TO HOMOSEXUAL AROUSAL AND/OR HOMOSEXUAL INTRIGUE.

AT THE TIME OF THE POLICE INTERVIEW – WHEN HE WAS FIFTEEN – THE BOY STATED, “At first I was thinking it was like normal and he was checking something … ;” THEN, HE SAID, “The whole time I was pretending to sleep … ”

NOW, WHEN A MALE IS PARALYZED, I DO NOT KNOW IF THE PENIS IS RESPONSIVE AND CAPABLE OF ERECTION.

NOW, Dr. Walid Abdelhamid, MD, MAY HAVE LEFT THE ROOM EACH TIME THE NURSE ENTERED BECAUSE HE FELT HIS ACTIONS MAY BE MISUNDERSTOOD. [It is quite logical to assume that a teenage boy who is paralyzed would want to ask a male doctor (in private) about any possible impact paralysis might have on the functioning of his penis. A “hands-on” examination seems reasonable].

IN REFERENCE TO THE ALLEGED FORCED FELLATIO, THE ARTICLE DOES NOT INDICATE IF THE BOY WAS “pretending to be sleep” AT THAT TIME. THAT IS A CRUCIAL OMISSION.

PEOPLE OF COLOR FEAR CAUCASIAN RETALIATION. Dr. Abdelhamid MAY HAVE FLED TO GREECE BECAUSE HE EXPECTED AUTOMATIC BLAME.

THIS BOY SHOULD HAVE KEPT HIS MOUTH SHUT. I HOPE Dr. Abdelhamid IS FREED.

WAY TO STAND UP FOR A MALE RAPIST PIECE OF TRASH. MEN ARE UTTER GARBAGE. EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM.

        “Xiao Mao,”

THE ISSUE OF pedophilia IS A “LIGHTENING ROD” – IF YOU TAKE IT AWAY, YOU HAVE A PATIENT ON “MORPHINE DRIP.”

LET US SAY, THIS MALE PATIENT WAS EIGHTEEN; THEN, YOU HAVE A HOMOSEXUAL “He said/He said.”

MY POINT IS, “Xiao Mao,” Defense-Attorney Marty Minuk TOOK THE CORRECT APPROACH BY EMPHASIZING THE “MORPHINE DRIP.” BUT, CAUCASIAN ADULTS ARE DETERMINED TO HOLD-ON TO THE BELIEF, “children do not lie” – THAT IS CRAP! THAT VIDEO-TAPED INTERVIEW WAS PLAYED IN COURT FOR THE PULLING OF “HEART-STRINGS.”

IF Dr. Walid Abdelhamid, MD, GOES TO JAIL HIS TALENT AS A PHYSICIAN CAN [AND, SHOULD] BE UTILIZED IN THE INFIRMARY. I HOPE PRISON OFFICIALS DO NOT TAKE THE “POLITICALLY-CORRECT” ROAD AND LET Dr. Abdelhamid “WASTE-AWAY” IN HIS JAIL-CELL.
