‘Varsity Blues’ star Ron Lester speaks out about the Paul Walker death
Paul Walker’s sudden death has rocked Hollywood. The news has halted production on Fast & Furious 7 and many celebrities are still just expressing their disbelief of the news.
Ron Lester, “known to half the world as Billy Bob, the big fat dude from Varsity Blues,” spoke about Walker’s untimely death in a video released today.
“I lost a friend and a co-star…Paul Walker,” Lester begins as he pours out his heart about the popular actor killed in a horrible car accident.
Like his Fast & Furious co-stars, thoughts and prayers are going out to the family. Lester announces that he will be dedicating his film, Racing Legacy, to the late Paul Walker.
Walker played Lance Harbor in the 1999 film with Lester, two years before landing the starring role in Fast & Furious alongside Vin Diesel.
Lester reportedly had several surgeries to lose about 350 pounds and remove excess skin. Now he hardly resembles the gentle giant from the football film.
Countless Hollywood stars have posted tributes and thoughts about the death of Walker, offering support to the family.
