University of Minnesota linked to purchases of Planned Parenthood aborted tissue, Mark Dayton still refuses investigation
The University of Minnesota has been linked to buying human remains from a fetal tissue vendor identified in the Planned Parenthood human tissue trafficking videos, a new report says. The footage exposed that the company is operating in violation of Minnesota law.
A Center for Medical Progress video released September 1 showed Advanced BioScience Resources (ABR) Procurement Manager Perrin Larton revealing that she acquires fetal organs and tissue from abortion facilities in a number of states, including Minnesota, where abortion facilities are required to dispose of aborted babies’ bodies “by cremation, interment by burial, or in a manner directed by the commissioner of health,” with failure to do classified as a misdemeanor.
In the video, Larton mentioned convicted murderer abortionist Kermit Gosnell by name, and talked about how aborted children sometimes fall out of their mothers’ wombs after being aborted, providing an intact fetal cadaver for ABR.
“I literally have had women come in and they’ll go in the [operating room] and they’re back out in three minutes, and I’m going, ‘What’s going on?'” she said on the video. “Oh, yeah – the fetus was already in the vaginal canal whenever we put her in the stirrups. It just fell out.”
LifeSiteNews has viewed purchase orders obtained by Alpha News MN showing the University of Minnesota’s purchases from ABR from 2008-2014.
Among the body parts purchased by the university from ABR are pancreases from 16- to 24-week children and lungs from 16- to 22-week children, as well as livers and thymuses (a lymphoid organ of the immune system) from children in their second trimester.
“As far as I’m concerned, there’s no basis for an investigation at taxpayer expense into a private nonprofit organization that has stated they don’t engage in those practices here in Minnesota,” Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton said on why there will be no investigation into Planned Parenthood.
ABR in St. Paul, has been registered as a non-profit in the state of Minnesota since April 2009 and is recorded in “active/good standing” with the Minnesota secretary of state’s office.
Life Site News also noted that:
Since 2009, two federal agencies have been fetal tissue customers of ABR, with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) paying ABR $257,000 and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) paying the company about $73,000.
Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota (PPMNS) has denied that it’s ever been involved in fetal tissue donation.
