Two teens, John Browne, Reggie Johnson, identified in Tampa shooting

Tampa police have identified a man who was killed in a Tampa shooting.

18-year-old John Edward Browne was killed Friday night and 18-year-old Reginald Johnson was hospitalized with injuries after a reported shooting.  A 911 caller reported a fight and possible gunshots were heard in the background.

UPDATE: The teens are now identified as 16-year-old Kito Felton and 17-year-old Malik Williams, stole a bike and then shot two men near 21st Ave and Hudson St. in Tampa.

Authorities say both suspects were arrested at Felton’s home without incident.

Officials charged both Felton and Williams with First degree Murder, Attempted Murder and Armed Robbery in relation to the incident.

Authorities arrived to find Browne dead and Johnson alert and conscious.

Johnson’s condition was not known.

SUSPECT: Kito Lamont Felton, DOB: 8/3/96, B/M, 8036 Deerwood Circle, Tampa

SUSPECT: Malik Jimer Williams, DOB: 9/9/95, B/M, 8514 Ridein Road, Tampa

CHARGES: First Degree Murder, Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery

ARREST LOCATION: 8036 Deerwood Circle, Tampa

VICTIM: John Edward Browne, DOB: 5/7/94, B/M, 3608 N. Phillips Street (Deceased)

VICTIM: Reginald Johnson DOB: 1/14/95, B/M, 3008 N. 35th Street (Injured)

SHOOTING LOCATION: East 21st Avenue and Hudson Street

After reviewing evidence in the case with the State Attorney’s Office, detectives have arrested two suspects in last week’s murder of John Browne. The suspects robbed the victims of a bicycle and shot both of them on East 21st Avenue. One died at the scene. The other victim was transported to Tampa General Hospital. He was treated and later released. Shortly at 8:00pm Thursday night, detectives responded to Kito Felton’s home and arrested both suspects without incident. They will be transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
