Two missing Connecticut children, Alton Perry, Ashton Perry, found dead with grandmother Debra Denison
Two missing children and their grandmother were found dead Tuesday night in a vehicle police were searching for during an Amber Alert in Connecticut.
The Amber Alert was issued for Alton Perry, 2, and Ashton Perry, his 6-month-old brother, of North Stonington, Conneccticut.
The boys’ mother told authorities the children had been picked up from day care in Danielson, Conn., Tuesday afternoon by their grandmother, 47-year-old Debra Denison, Tuesday and could not be located, according to a news release from state police.
Denison drove to Foxwoods’ Lake of Isles golf course and shot and killed the children with a .38-caliber handgun before turning the gun on herself, according to Connecticut State Police.
The family said Denison suffered from bipolar disorder and had a history of mental issues.
The state medical examiner’s office is to conduct an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death.
Family members added Alton turned 2 years old on Tuesday and that a party had been planned for him.
