Two explosions at Boston Marathon finish line, injuries reported
At least two explosions are being reported near the finish line at the Boston Marathon today, just hours after the winners crossed the finish line, according to multiples media reports.
The Wall Street Journal reports that bloody spectators were being carried to the medical tent that had been set up to care for fatigued runners.
The Associated Press reports there were two booms heard from near the finish line inside the Fairmount Copley Plaza Hotel.
Race officials locked down the hotel because of the report.

This comes a couple hours after two Africans, male and female won the vaunted marathon. Ethiopian runner Lelisa Desisa won the men’s division at this year’s Boston Marathon on Monday, finishing the 26.2 miles in 2 hours, 10 minutes and 22 seconds. It’s the first win at Boston for the 23-year-old.
Kenya’s Rita Jeptoo won the women’s side of the race. It was her second win in Boston.
