Twitter shows they are the social media tools of the left…again

Good morning, Gramps here,

Ahhh…Twitter. You know that cesspool of obnoxious tweets where people may be judged and found guilty regardless of facts or truth. You may be attacked relentlessly just because you have the same name as someone in the news–like George Papadopoulos, even if you’re the wrong man.

It’s Twitter, where nobody cares to check first.

It’s a place where hashtags like #fascism and #racism are used very liberally by people who have no idea what these words mean (I’ll get to that in the future).

You only need to go on there for a moment to figure out with little doubt Twitter is a liberal bastion and a great source of nonsense and vitriol.

Recall when the anti-abortion organization, Live Action was banned from Twitter for advertising due to promoting “sensitive content”. Never mind that pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood has carte blanche on the social media site.

We learned earlier this week that Twitter has been burying tweets that were not favorable to the Democratic Party or the Hillary Clinton universe.

In written testimony, Twitter general counsel Sean Edgett told the Senate Judiciary Committee that Twitter’s systems hid 48 percent of tweets using the #DNCLeak hashtag and 25 percent of tweets using #PodestaEmails. This of course occurred prior to the 2016 election.

Nice. Well, I guess Twitter doesn’t have to follow the 1st amendment being a private company, but wouldn’t you think they’d want to. It’s not as if they are financial success story.

Maybe the answer is this–maybe a social media company could be established where all views matter. There must be a wealthy tech exec who would be interested in that, don’t you think?
