Trump won Catholic vote: John Podesta emails, Obamacare mandate, Planned Parenthood and Frank Pavone’s abortion lesson mattered

According to exit polling, president-elect Donald Trump won 52 percent of the Catholic vote, compared to Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s 45 percent. This is a major improvement over Mitt Romney in 2012, which was higher than John McCain in 2008.

During a piece on “Why,” the Daily Beast called the The Remnant an “ultra-conservative Catholic rag” while attacking the church’s prohibition on men serving as priests and offering soft language about the pro-abortion ties of Clinton to Planned Parenthood.

It was at least noted that Catholics were likely offerended by some of the leaked John Podesta emails.

Democratic strategist John Halpin criticized Rupert Murdoch and an editor at the Wall Street Journal for raising their kids Catholic, calling it “an amazing bastardization of the faith,” later adding that “They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backwards gender relations and must be totally unaware of Christian democracy.”

Voices for Progress Sandy Newman wrote to Podesta calling for the Catholic Church to be shaken-up.

“There needs to be a Catholic Spring, in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship and the beginning of a little democracy and respect for gender equality in the Catholic Church,” he wrote. “I have not thought at all about how one would ‘plant the seeds of the revolution,’ or who would plant them.”

Yes, “backwards gender relations,” “middle ages dictatorship” – that probably won’t play well with the FAITHFUL Catholics.

The Beast also quoted Priest for Life’s Frank Pavone and his aborted fetus post on Facebook: “Here before me lies a baby killed by abortion in the second trimester of pregnancy,” he says on the video as he shows the dead fetus on a white cloth on the altar. “We are going to let this baby’s body bear witness to our nation as we begin the process to elect our next president.”

The Beast writer called that a “whole morbid event” but illustrated the 5 babies killed daily after 21 weeks.

Transgender bathroom and Obamacare mandates matter to Catholics and they voted accordingly.
