‘Toy Story 4’ Super Bowl ad: Bo Peep and Woody hunt for Buzz, head to the carnival

A new TV spot for Toy Story 4 has been released, played during the Super Bowl.

Fans do get to learn that the new installment will take place in Bonnie’s room, after Bonnie was gifted Andy’s toy as he set off for college at the conclusion of Toy Story 3).

There is the introduction of a new character, Forky, who is in an existential crisis and voiced by Tony Hale (Arrested DevelopmentVeep). Check out the video below.

Collider notes the disappointing aspects of the clip: “This is a cute little ad, although it doesn’t really delve into the plot of the movie, which isn’t surprising since it’s a 30-second spot and the film doesn’t arrive until June, but it’s still cute as Buzz Lightyear faces off against a couple of carnival prizes, Ducky and Bunny, voiced by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. However, let’s be honest: Toy Story sells itself at this point.

Fans have learned that Woody and a Bo Peep hunt for Buzz, check out her new look below.

The film also features the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Jeff Pidgeon, and Blake Clark.

Toy Story 4 arrives in theaters on June 21, 2019.

Here’s the full new synopsis for Toy Story 4:

Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.
