Tom Cruise under attack for praising Wal-Mart, ‘improve women’s lives’ VIDEO

Tom Cruise, along with Hugh Jackman and Kelly Clarkson, were present during a Walmart shareholder meeting in Arkansas.

Cruise, in particular, raised attention when he commended Walmart for being a role model and spoke about how the company is, “using its size and scale to improve women’s lives around the world.”

“I’ve wanted to come here for quite some time, actually, because the culture you have here is like no other,” Cruise told the audience. “I truly admire your company. [It’s] a role model for how business can address some of the biggest issues facing our world.”

Nearly every website covering this transitions into a statement like this one from the Huffington Post:

Walmart has spent years fending off discrimination suits from women who say they’re not treated equally at the company. About 2,000 women claimed in a class action suit last year that the retail giant discriminated against them when it came to pay and promotions. An earlier lawsuit was dismissed by the U.S. Supreme Court, which determined female workers nationwide didn’t have standing to sue as a class.

Or MSN Money:

Never mind the fact that nearly 2,000 women have filed sex discrimination claims against the retailer with theEqual Employment Opportunity Commission. And that other claims of gender discrimination at Wal-Mart made their way to the Supreme Court (which dismissed the claims because the workers couldn’t be considered a unified class).

Note that the critics are not even connecting all of Cruise’s comments in the video below (coverage from a local news outlet.) Cruise is talking about how “low income women get training and access to education” through Wal-Mart.

    I OWN Wal-Mart stock.

I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR Tom Cruise BECAUSE HE IS A CLOSETED HOMOSEXUAL WHO HIDES BEHIND THE ATTENTION GIVEN TO HIM BY FEMALES WHO THINK HE IS HANDSOME. THE PROOF IS IN Mr. Cruise’s films, WHICH USUALLY [OR MAYBE, ALWAYS] CONTAIN MALE-HOMOEROTIC IMAGERY. A GREAT EXAMPLE IS Mr. Cruise’s film, “Eyes Wide Shut.” Mr. Cruise PORTRAYS AN UNHAPPY PHYSICIAN WHO “UNINTENTIONALLY” PLAYS THE SECONDARY ROLE IN A “Pagan-tinged Circle Jerk” [male homosexuals love pagan eroticism]; THE PRIMARY CHARACTER IN THE ENCOUNTER [AN OLDER MALE WEARING GOLD MASK/RED CLOAK] ORDERS Mr. Cruise’s character TO [sic], “GET NAKED!” IN THE DVD-VERSION OF THE FILM [AS, AN EXTRA], Mr. Cruise DISCUSSES THE DEATH OF FILM-MAKER, Stanley Kubrick. IN TEARS, Mr. Cruise DISCUSSES HIS FEELINGS FOR Mr. Kubrick WITH A TENDERNESS RARELY EXPERIENCED BY “OUT” MALE HOMOSEXUALS.

I WILL TRY TO TYPE THIS “CLEAN” AND PLAINLY. THROUGHOUT THIS PLANET’S HISTORY, MEN HAVE VIEWED WOMEN AS “a piece of meat,” WITH EASY DISPOSAL. “Real men” DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE “RIGHTS” OF women. FOR Mr. Cruise TO CHAMPION THE RIGHTS/ASPIRATIONS OF women AT A Wal-Mart shareholders’ meeting [THIS IS ARKANSAS, PEOPLE!] SAYS MORE ABOUT THE STATUS OF HIS SEXUALITY; Mr. Cruise WAS PREACHING TO HIS BUILT-IN FEMALE CROWD AND WAITING ON THE NEXT OPPORTUNITY TO “REVEAL” HIMSELF IN HIS NEXT FILM.

    WHAT A FAKER!
