An Outline is Necessary to Get Ideas

For instance, if you are writing about the economy of the United States during the presidential era of Obama, you have to write highlighted points in the thesis statement.

Focus on the Body

The body of your essay should explain the topic and support your points with prior research work. Divide the body of an essay in small sections and paragraphs. Start with introductory sentences to introduce the main idea of your essay. Use headings, subheadings and bullet points to make your essay interesting and easy to read.

Write a Strong Introduction

After writing overall body and thesis statement of an essay, you have to focus on the introduction. It should grab the attention of readers and reveal the focus of your essay. Start your introduction with attention grabber lines. You may use a story, dialogue, quote, summary or a shocking information.

End with a Conclusion

After completing your essay, you have to close your topic in the conclusion section. In this section, you will sum up all your ideas while giving the final perspective on the topic. Your conclusion must contain 3 to 5 strong sentences. Write main parts of your essay to offer reinforcement to your work.
