Tim Remington shooting: Kyle Odom named as suspect
The pastor who prayed with Ted Cruz on Saturday was shot in the back in the parking lot of an Idaho church on Sunday. Police have identified the suspect, Kyle Odom, as the search branches out.
Odom, 30, is believed to be armed and dangerous, last seen leaving the parking lot in a 2004 silver Honda Accord with Idaho plates K578519. Odom is described as having blonde hair and blue eyes, about six feet tall and approximately 170 pounds.
Pastor Tim Remington was transported to Kootenai Medical Center and his condition is listed as stable as of Monday morning, officials said. Remington is expected to make a full recovery and is expected to be released from the hospital within the next two days, according to members of the church.
According to Q13Fox, Remington suffered multiple injuries including a punctured lung and shattered pelvis. He had prayed at the Ted Cruz rally on Saturday at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds.
Church members gathered around the scene to pray not only for the pastor who headed the church for more than a decade, but the shooter, too.”We just want to be here for everyone in our congregation. Be here for our pastor. We are going to go to the hospital and wait for the word to make sure he is okay,” one church member said.
