Tim Curry headlines MegaCon 2017’s guest list with rare appearance

The list of amazing works on the resume of Tim Curry should pack the Orlando County Convention Center next weekend as the star makes a rare convention appearance.

Curry is most famous for his lead role in the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but many fans will have swag featuring Curry as Pennywise from It, Darth Sidious photos motivated by his voice work as Darth Sidious on Star Wars: The Clone Wars or his comedic work in the favorite Clue film.

By the way, fellow Rocky Horror stars Brian Bostwick, Nell Campbell and Patricia Quinn are also set to appear.

MacGyver and Stargate SG-1 star Richard Dean Anderson will be onhand with Famke Janssen (X-Men films, Taken series), Jenna Cooper from Doctor Who and rock star Alice Cooper.

Other guests: from the CW superhero universe are Tom Cavanagh, Caity Lotz, Danielle Panabaker; Stranger Things stars Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin; Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis and boxer Mike Tyson.

Dukes of Hazzard stars John Schneider, Tom Wopat and Catharine Bach will surely be signing memorabilia from the popular show, but note: it costs extra to get a signature on a Dodge car part.

The list is extensive, so check out their site for the latest. Some notable cancellations are Norman Reedus, Jeffrey Dean Morgan from The Walking Dead and Daredevil star Charlie Cox.

MegaCon is the largest United States convention owned by Fan Expo’s Informa plc, and has grown to include a splinter Tampa event each year in addition to its core Orlando event.

Four-day passes for MegaCon Orlando are available now for $99 in advance at megaconorlando.com/tickets, and single-day tickets start at $20 in advance. For a complete list of programming, events and celebrity guests, check out megaconorlando.com.
