Tim Collier tells tale of how Bible survives car fire
An Alabama family’s car was engulfed by flames and report that the only thing to survive the fire was their family Bible.
Timothy Collier and his wife were driving in Mobile on Thursday when a fellow driver noticed flames coming from underneath their vehicle. That driver managed warn the Colliers and Tim says he and his wife pulled over at a gas station and got out just before the SUV burst into flames.
“When the guy said it the first time, I didn’t quite know what he was talking about,” Collier said. “So I still tried to get to the gas station. He turned around and came back and said, ‘get out the car; your car is on fire,'” Collier recalled.
“We got out just in time,” the man told Fox 10. “After we get out of the car it burst into flames.”
“This Bible is the only thing that didn’t burn, The Bible made it through,” Tim explained, detailing how the inside of the vehicle is unrecognizable, the steering wheel is gone, the seats are burned to the metal and there’s no trace of a hood remaining.
