Three Things All E-Commerce Stores Must Offer

Thanks to the global revolution of today, more and more people are ditching regular high street shopping in favor of shopping from home using a range of devices. With studies showing that around 40% of all online purchases are now done on mobile with the number set to rapidly grow, there’s no doubt that there is definitely money to be made from the e-commerce business boom. If you already run an online store or are in the process of setting up an e-commerce site to sell products online, there are a number of things which you must offer in order to make sure that your business remains competitive in a highly competitive, busy market.

Numerous Payment Options

When shopping online, many people don’t like to be restricted to just one payment option. Although it’s essential for all online e-commerce stores to offer credit card payments using a system such as mypaymentsavvy, it’s a wise idea to offer your customers a range of other choices when it comes to making a payment for the goods that they are purchasing. Although most smartphones now include the option to save credit card details for faster future purchases, some shoppers still prefer to use other methods of payments when shopping online, such as PayPal which is quick, easy and safe.

Mobile-Friendliness

Since a huge percentage of online shopping is done from a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet, it’s hugely important for all e-commerce stores to offer a responsive design, which will look great and be easily navigated no matter which device it is being viewed on. Nobody likes to have to try and navigate around a site that isn’t mobile friendly when on their mobile – it can be quite frustrating as users need to zoom in to get a proper look at pictures and often, text doesn’t quite fit on the page properly. Not to mention that filling in forms such as those for delivery and payment details can be quite a hassle when viewing a site which isn’t mobile friendly on a mobile device. Offering a mobile friendly design is no longer a luxury option for e-commerce stores, it’s an absolute essential.

Customer Reviews

When shopping online, it can often be difficult to tell whether or not you are actually getting a good deal. Although you may know that the products which you offer are definitely worth it, new customers will not know that until they have actually made a purchase from your store. But, with online shopping being so competitive, many customers rely on the reviews and comments of others who have bought a product before in order to make a decision regarding purchasing it. Offering the option for customers to leave reviews of products on your site can not only help to build trust with your customer base, it can also attract new customers and help to build a good reputation for your brand.

With online shopping becoming increasingly more popular, it’s vital for e-commerce stores to provide customers with a pleasant shopping experience.
