‘Thor Ragnarok’ details coming later this summer, Kenneth Branagh rumors are false

All the attention is on Captain America: Civil War, the first film in the new Phase three of Marvel films, but noticeably absent will be Thor, not likely to return until 2017 with his new solo film: Thor: Ragnarok.

While promoting Ant-Man, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige talked about the third Thor film with Collider at the press day, beginning with a date for a writer and/or director.

Feige says, “probably towards the end of the summer we would announce a filmmaker and a writer. May be the same person, I don’t know, may be two different people.”

Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are locked to return for Ragnarok, but with little else known. Rumored are the death of Thor, Loki, Jane Foster, a female Thor and a blooming love affair between Thor and Sif (Jaimie Alexander).

Thor: Ragnarok will arrive in theaters on November 7, 2015.
