‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 teasers, SDCC 2014 trailer and minor spoilers

Fans finally get a look at season 5 of AMC’s The Walking Dead. First up is the SDCC trailer and then the season 5 teaser from early July and the early production clips featuring the cast talking about season 5.

Creator Robert Kirkman revealed to the SDCC audience that “This is a season that is going to be pretty close to the comics.”

Showrunner Scott Gimple and actors Andrew Lincoln and Michael Cudlitz spoke to TVLine. In the interview, it was revealed that the first six minutes of “The Walking Dead” season 5 premiere are going to be insane. There is going to be a whole lot of action and there will be more layers added to the Terminus storyline.

Don’t expect Rick to be as laid back as he used to be. Remember last season when he ripped his teeth into the throat of a member of Joe’s group? It seems that same level of brutality might be seen this season. Gimple said that in season 5, Rick will be the complete opposite of what he was in season 4. In fact, the exact term he used was that this season, Rick would be “anti-hoeing.”

Emily Kinney on Beth: “I can’t tell you really anything about where she is next season. But I can tell you that she’s gotten a lot stronger. She’s lived a little now. She’s not just an innocent teenager anymore. She’s taking a different kind of strength into Season 5 and she’s going to have to use everything she’s got.”

AMC’s The Walking Dead will return October 12, 2014.
