The Universe of Constants still disproves ‘The Theory of Everything’

UPDATE: Forbes last month published the latest effort to minimize the complexity of the universe or, as better described, the “jibber-jabber” from “The Theory of Everything” Stephen Hawking drones.

Astrophysicist and author Ethan Siegel continued the myth in the post NEVER completing explaining that the “theory” is just that because life cannot exist with a variation to ANY one of the constants. His proposal means that there are 26 perfect constants, so the math to create the universe without a designer would be to calculate for ALL of these constants to align TOGETHER and not individually independent of one another.

Five years later and the “fine-tuning” theory still points to design NOT the outcome of a random process.

The universe is more precisely constructed than humans ever imagined. Several aspects of chemistry and physics are tweaked into specific perfection for life to exist. Even a tiny variation would turn our planet or universe into a hostile environment. Here’s a couple of examples:

Oxygen Level on earth is 21% of the atmosphere.

If the level were increased to 25% then fires would spark spontaneously and if it were reduced to only 15% then human beings would suffocate.

Transparent atmosphere

The degree of transparency of the atmosphere is also perfect. If it were less transparent, then not enough solar radiation could reach the planet and if it were more, then the earth would be bombarded by too solar radiation causing destruction.

Moon-Earth gravitational relationship

Elementary kids are taught the effects of the moon on the tides, but the relationship between the earth and the moon is extremely precise. Oceanic tides are only one factor effected by a moon moved closer or further away. Rotational period, atmosphereic components and orbit would all be effected by shifting the moon, making life impossible on earth.

Carbon Dioxide Levels

Earth’s atmosphere contains the ideal amount of CO2 because a higher level, a runaway greenhouse effect would scorch the earth and a lower level and the plant life would be incapable of photosynthesis.

Gravity

The power of gravity is frightening. If the gravitational force were altered by
0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000001 percent – our sun could not exist.

A stronger gravitational force would make it possible to stand up straight and walk about.

Human beings can only survive in a very narrow range environmental conditions, against all odds, on this planet earth. Ironically with space travel it is widely accepted that the astronauts are facing these hostile conditions and even the smallest problem would be life threatening.

Well, a small change in the universe would result in huge problems as well, possibly preventing our very existence.

Proof of God?

For me, proof that there has to be a designer of some kind. Believing otherwise just defies the numbers.

STATE OF THE NATION – ABOUT THE AUTHOR

State of the Naton banner from Crazed Fanboy

The “State of the Nation” column by Brandon Jones began on a website called Crazed Fanboy to discuss topics that the regular media were not reporting or barely discussed. While there was a strong political tone, there were no limits to topics or arenas discussed.

As the relationship with Crazed Fanboy deteriorated, the partnership between Robert Herriman (author “Insights”) and the Brian strengthen to form the current “Desk of Brian”.

Just as we have John Does or Average Joes, we created the “Regular Guy” approach to sorting through the news, adding our own commentary and opinions, fused with contributors from all over the globe.
