The Paul Festival is here, get ready for a great weekend
August 24th in Tampa, Florida. It hot, real hot and sunny. Thousands from around the country are converging on Tampa today in honor and celebration of the “Champion of the Constitution” Texas Congressman Ron Paul.
Pull into the Florida State Fairgrounds off the US 301 you could begin to feel the passion and excitement. As I pull into the parking lot, there are a plethora of Ron Paul signs, magnets and stickers plastered on the vehicles of Paul supporters.
However, as National Libertarian Party chair, Geoff Neal said today, it’s about the Liberty movement- bigger than Ron Paul and bigger than the Libertarian Party (which has a large presence at the Festival).
So in addition to Paul signs, some cars are decorated in support of the LP Presidential Candidate, Gary Johnson.
The MC of the program, political activist, Danny Panzella, had the distinct privilege of introducing a group of great speakers and musical acts in the air conditioned confines of the State Fairgrounds.
Dan Johnson, “Gray State” writer and director, David Crowley, the Independent Institute’s health care expert, John C Goodman and Neal.
Musical acts performing Friday include American Idol alums Vonabell and Tami Gosnell, LA Pussycat and London.
Saturday’s line-up should prove to be excellent. Tom Woods, Walter Block, Chuck Baldwin, Gary Johnson and Lew Rockwell will be speaking among many others.
And if it’s associated with the Liberty movement, you can be sure Jordan Page will be there.
