‘The Mummy’ ‘Pacific Rim 2’ ‘Warcraft’ releases moved back
Universal has announced big delays for many of their big upcoming tentpole films: Warcraft, The Mummy reboot and the sequel to Pacific Rim.
Warcraft will be based on Blizzard Entertainment’s hit videogame World of Warcraft and has shifted from March 11, 2016, to June 10, 2016. Source Code director Duncan Jones will helm the project from a script he co-wrote with Charles Leavitt.
Pacific Rim 2 has been pushed from April 2, 2017, to August 4, 2017 with director Guillermo del Toro set to deliver a sequel to the popular 2013 science fiction film.
The reboot of the Mummy franchise was moved almost a year back, from June 24, 2016, to March 24, 2017. Alex Kurtzman will direct as well as produce, along with Chris Morgan and Sean Daniel.
Universal Pictures’ ‘Untitled’ Universal Monster film will move from April 21, 2017, to Friday, March 30, 2018.
Tom Cruise’s Mena which will see the actor reunite with his Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman, will be released Jan. 6, 2017.
The new chapter in Universal Pictures’ FAST & FURIOUS saga will be released on Friday, April 14, 2017 and two Fifty Shades will be arriving in theaters in 2017 and then 2018.
