‘The Lone Ranger’ Super Bowl ad focuses on Armie Hammer as Ranger
This new teaser for Gore Verbinski’s Lone Ranger movie was featured during the Super Bowl.
Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer help the Lone Ranger ride again in a new feature film adaptation of the popular character, who first appeared on American radio in the 1930s.
Co-star Barry Pepper discussed the chemistry between Depp’s Tonto and the Ranger, played by Armie Hammer.
“I think Armie and Johnny have a really great dynamic together. It really spins those two iconic characters on their head.I thought it was really cool to see Johnny take on that character, being of Cherokee blood…”
Gore Verbinski directed the movie and produced with Jerry Bruckheimer.
The film also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter.
The Lone Ranger is set to be released July 3, 2013.
