‘The Flash’ season 2: Killer Frost, Deathstorm and ‘wielding’ lightning bolts
Released to promote The CW’s online streaming service, a new poster for The Flash also excites fans ahead of the show’s upcoming Earth-2 adventure.
The poster, featuring a lighting bolt-wielding scarlet speedster, bear the tagline “Alternate Reality Check,” presumably referring to the hero’s two-episode visit to the Earth that spawned Jay Garrick and Zoom.
“The Lightning Throw was his big new one for this year,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly.
“The Flash can do a lot of amazing things, but like David Nutter, who directed the pilot, always said, ‘You want to make sure he doesn’t get too good at his powers too quickly, because then he becomes unstoppable, and it gets harder and harder for us to devise ways for him to be in trouble.’ I think the Lightning Throw is going to get a couple more outings.”
Check out the poster below.
Titled “Welcome to Earth-2,” the episode is officially described as follows:
“Barry, Wells and Cisco journey to Earth-2 to rescue Wells’ daughter, Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) from Zoom. Barry is stunned when he runs into Earth-2 Iris and Joe, but nothing prepares him for meeting Killer Frost and Deathstorm (guest star Robbie Amell). Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) has to take over the Flash’s responsibilities when a meta-human nicknamed Geomancer (guest star Adam Stafford) attacks Central City.”
