‘The Crow’ reboot with Luke Evans set to start filming in 2015
While at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival’s opening night, producer Ed Pressman (Wall Street, American Psycho) has revealed to THR that the The Crow remake/reboot will finally be headed to production, likely next year with Dracula Untold star Luke Evans as the lead.
Pressman was attending the International Showbiz Expo to collect a lifetime achievement award from the festival, described The Crow as “the anti-Spider-Man.”
“It still has a big fan base even though it was so long ago,” he said to THR in the Oct. 24 article. “But the generation today doesn’t even know The Crow.”
THR recounts the long delays, casting rumors with Evans speaking about the film at the BAFTAs, telling Red Carpet TV about pre-production and saying that the remake would be “bringing to the screen a lot of parts of the story that were never really told.”
“Pressman said that nothing regarding casting was confirmed at this stage,” the article stated.
Creator James O-Barr spoke at the NYCC about the film, not wanting a remake of the 1994 film which Brandon Lee and much more – check out that coverage HERE
