The star, who played Eric Forman’s older sister on the sitcom, That ’70’s Show, reportedly passed away in her sleep at a rehab facility.
Lisa Robin Kelly is best known for her long-running role as Laurie Forman on That ’70s Show, died at age 43 on Wednesday.
Kelly had been staying at a rehab facility in California when she passed away in her sleep, according to TMZ.
TMZ says she voluntarily checked herself in for treatment for an alcohol problem this past week … and was determined to clean herself up.
“I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her,” Kelly’s agent, Craig Wyckoff, told People. “Last night she lost the battle. Cause of death has not been issued yet and no death certificate has been issued either.”
In an interview with ABC News, Kelly opened up about her struggles with substance abuse after she left the show.
“I had lost a baby,” Kelly said. “As a result of that I lost it. I lost everything and I was abusing alcohol.”
“With That ’70s Show I was guilty of a drinking problem, and I ran,” she added.
