‘Terminator Genisys’ trailer highlights Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke ‘family feud’

Emilia Clarke Sarah-Connor Terminator Genisys  first photoAnother franchise getting a recharge this summer is Terminator as Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back with a new cast in Terminator Genisys. The new trailer features Emilia Clarke plays Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke as her son John Connor and Jai Courtney is his papa Kyle Reese. The T-800 (Schwarzenegger) plays a role as John’s “adopted grandfather,” Sarah’s guardian or just “Pops.”

A big twist is revealed in the new trailer as Sarah’s son returns from the future, well…you know where this is going.

The new TV spot, also below, centers just on Sarah Connor as the “Mother of the Resistance.” Check it out below.

Yes, by the way, that is “Arnold vs Arnold” is a great circle around to the 1984 version.

Matt Smith, Byung-hun Lee, Dayo Okeniyi, Courtney B. Vance, and J.K. Simmons also star.

Terminator: Genysis opens in theaters on July 1, 2015.

Official synopsis:

When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future…
