Ted Cruz talks John Boehner insult, targeting GOP failures, China and Donald Trump
Texas Senator and 2016 Presidential candidate Ted Cruz appeared on the Hugh Hewitt Show
Beginning with the comments from John Boehner, calling Cruz a “jackass,” Cruz refused to retaliate before talking about his criticisms of Mitch McConnell and the GOP establishment.
“I thought I stood up and said here are the commitments that the majority leader gave to me personally, to every Republican senator and to the American people and his conducst today is directly contrary to those commitments he made, ” Cruz explained of his remarks, contrasting that the profanity laden jab from Ohio’s Boehner.
Cruz then contrasted how the Obama administration handles China, their leadership with the treatment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“There is a striking contrast between the treatment of China and the Obama administration’s treatment of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu…,” noting how the Obama administration “boycotted his speech” – “showing what is misguided about their foreign policy.”
“It’s entirely backwards,” he concludes after listing the allies which are not treatment well by this White House.
The Texas Senator explains the risk of cyberterrorism, attacks and how the “dinner” could be used to “call out” China while using “counter attacks” so the enemies know there “will be a price to be paid.”
Cruz discusses his upcoming rally and including Donald Trump, “it will attract a lot of folks” to rally against this Iranian nuclear deal. He details why he hasn’t attacked Trump and how that’s forced the mainstream media to discuss illegal immigration.
