Teaser trailers and photo for new TV series ‘Bates Motel’

A&E’s new series “Bates Motel” is a prequel to “Psycho” with Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates and Vera Farmiga as his mother, Norma.

The series comes from Lost co-showrunner Carlton Cuse and Friday Night Lights alum Kelly Ehrin.

The series also stars Nestor CarbonellMax Thieriot,Olivia Cooke, and Mike Voel.  Bates Motel premieres on A&E in Spring 2013.

Here’s a synopsis for Bates Motel:

“Bates Motel” serves as a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film, “Psycho,” and promises to give viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates’ (Freddie Highmore) psyche unravels through his teenage years and just how deeply intricate his relationship to his mother, Norma (Vera Farmiga), truly is.
