Supermodel Eunice Olumide confirmed for ‘Star Wars Rogue One’ role
Olumide says she plays a rebel leader as the source quoted her: “I did a small feature in Star Wars Rogue One. That was a really awesome experience. I don’t have lines but it was an incredible experience to be part of such an iconic film. I was originally supposed to play a nomad, but since I’m athletic I ended up playing a rebellion leader.”The model, 28, details a scene, saying that “There’s a small scene where I run and there’s a tank that comes after me with 20 stormtroopers. There’s loads of explosions. I kept getting a fright whenever the explosions went off.”
In Star Wars Rogue One, part of a standalone series of films, may not include her, but she says she still may be an action figure.
“If my scene gets cut or not cut I was entered into the George Lucas Archives. I got into a 3D scanner and they did a scan. They scan all the characters so they can reproduce individual toys or computer games. I will be a toy. It was an amazing experience.”
Eunice Olumide can also be seen in the upcoming Absolutely Fabulous film.
In the wake of Force Awakens, Rogue One goes back to the time between Revenge of the Sith and New Hope to focus on the rebels who capture the Death Star plans.
Directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla), the film also stars Felicity Jones as a rebel leader, Riz Ahmed and Diego Luna (to the left of Jones in the photo below, resembling Biggs) will also be Rebel characters, with Ben Mendelsohn tapped as a villain (with a white cape, read more HERE). Donnie Yen (front, far right in photo below), Jiang Wen (red armor behind Yen), Forest Whitaker (rumors abound, read more HERE), Mads Mikkelsen and Alan Tudyk also have roles.
Darth Vader will make an appearance and may play a big role in the film with James Earl Jones tapped to voice the Sith Lord once again.
Rogue One is set to arrive in theaters on December 16, 2016.
