‘Summer Fantasy’ & ‘Showstoppers – Film to Footlights’ comes to Tampa’s Patel Converatory

Back this summer by popular demand, Patel Conservatory students perform songs from popular movies and Broadway musicals. Written and directed by Scott Daniel, this year’s show will take audience members on a journey from film to footlights.
Showstoppers – Film to Footlights — Friday, July 18, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, July 19, at 2 and 7 p.m.

Summer Fantasy -2014 is set for Friday, July 25 at 7pm at Ferguson Hall at the Straz Center
More than 200 pre-professional ballet students from 32 states and four countries will perform in suites from the ballets Don Quixote and Coppelia. These dancers were chosen from a pool of more than 1,000 applicants nationwide to come to the Patel Conservatory to train and perform. Leading the ensemble will be guest principal dancer siblings from Boston Ballet, Jeffrey and Lia Cirio. Rounding out the program will be the world premiere of a cutting-edge contemporary work.
