Stanley Tucci joins ‘Transformers 4’ cast as Paramount confirms scenes to be shot in IMAX
Michael Bay announced at CinemaCon this week that Transformers 4 continues to move forward, adding Stanley Tucci to the cast and that the film will have scenes shot in IMAX.
Tucci joins confirmed cast members Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor, and although nothing has been revealed about his character.
Fans are also taking note of the news that “some of the film will be shot using new IMAX 3D digital cameras.”

Christopher Nolan, he’s been the biggest champion of IMAX by shooting footage for The Dark Knight, and even more for The Dark Knight Rises, on 65mm IMAX stock. Though Nolan’s use of IMAX is a little more subtle by utilizing the higher definition image quality for large landscapes in addition to action sequences
Transformers 4 is shooting soon with a release for June 27th, 2014
