South Carolina police still seeking answers in shooting death of teen, Malcolm Anderson
The Charleston Police Department are seeking information in connection with the murder of teen shot and killed Tuesday morning.
Police found Malcolm Jefferson, age 18, dead from several gunshot wounds to his torso in the Maryville neighborhood. The victim was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina, where he later died.
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office says Jefferson, from Charleston, died from a gunshot wound.
Police are now asking for help from the public to solve Jefferson’s murder and anyone with information should call police at 607-6787 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
Residents were quoted by Live5News saying that the neighborhood is changing with a lot of different people coming into the area as well as some who don’t live there, just visit.
The man who lives at the address where Jefferson was shot told Live 5 that he jumped to the floor of his home when he heard the gunshots.
The man, who did not want to be identified, says Jefferson came into the home saying ‘I’m hit, I’m hit…’ before closing his eyes.
A tow truck was spotted removing a Ford SUV from the street after the shooting.
