‘Sooper Se Ooper’ star, Vir Das diagnosed with dengue fever
Just two weeks before the officials release of the Hindi film, “Sooper Se Ooper”, star and comedian, Vir Das has been diagnosed with the mosquito borne disease, dengue fever.
The report notes while the actor is undergoing a treatment for the disease, the makers of “Sooper Se Ooper” are forced to continue the promotional activities without the comedian.
The 34-year-old Dehradun native is the second Bollywood star to contract the potentially serious viral infection. Two weeks ago, 28-year-old “Gunday” star, Ranveer Singh was also diagnosed with dengue.
Dengue (pronounced den’ gee) is a disease caused by any one of four closely related dengue viruses (DENV 1, DENV 2, DENV 3, or DENV 4). The viruses are transmitted to humans by the bite of an infected mosquito. It is estimated that there are over 100 million cases of dengue worldwide each year.
“Sooper Se Ooper” is slated to be relaesed on Oct. 25. and also stars Kirti Kulhari, Gulshan Grover, Deepak Dobriyal, Yashpal Sharma and Mohan Kapoor.
