‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 3: Charlene Amoia previews the new season, the ‘different direction’

Sleepy Hollow Season 3 is currently in production and new cast member Charlene Amoia talked about the show, promising the plot will go in a “slightly different direction.” Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie will return as the two main characters after a climactic season 2 finale.

“It’s one of those shows where you get instantly hooked and then you just have to keep watching!” Amoia said in an exclusive interview with International Business Times, adding that she loves the way the TV series “mixes the genre elements with some serious drama and a tinge of comedy here and there.”

The actress will be playing the role of Susan James in the next season of the television series and says that Susan “witnessed some bad things.”

“She’s been weighed down by these secrets and starts to realize that her knowledge is putting her in serious danger,” the actress explained.

“Season 3 goes in a slightly different direction than the first 2 seasons, which I think will keep everyone on their toes,” Amoia said.

“I’m always careful about spoilers, but I can tell you that Ichabod (Tom Mison) and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) encounter a whole new set of obstacles in season 3 and the premiere has a super fun way of setting them all up! I’d tell you more, but I’m afraid I’d lose my head!” Amoia teased.

“My first day of shooting was in a huge warehouse on a goat farm which was challenging because the animals didn’t seem to care when the A.D. yelled ‘Quiet on the set!’  Luckily, most of my scenes were with Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie who were both incredibly lovely to work with. So we got through it together,” she said.

Amoia said that the crossover with Bones was “really fun!” “I always think it’s cool when the writers find creative ways to mix the worlds of two very different shows. I hope they continue to do them!” she said.

Lyndie Greenwood, Zach Appelman, Lance Gross, Nikki Reed and Shannyn Sossamon will all return as main regulars on the show.

The third season was approved in March and will begin on October 1, 2015.
