Sec. De Lima orders NBI to probe the killing of Mayor Talumpa and three others at the NAIA Terminal 3
Four people are confirmed dead including Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur Mayor Ukol Talumpa at a shooting incident happened at the NAIA Terminal 3.
Based on the report, two armed men wearing Police uniforms riding on a motorcycle immediately fired at Labangan Mayor Talumpa and his wife as they stepped out of Terminal 3 this afternoon.
Just minutes after the incident happened, Justice Sec. Laila De Lima ordered the National Bureau of Investigation to conduct an investigation for the killing of Mayor Talumpa and three others.
She immediately issued order to the NBI officer-in-charge Medardo De Lemos. The good secretary confirmed that there were attempts on the life of Mayor Talumpa. “I understand that was the third attempt on the life of the mayor and this time, the culprits succeeded and it’s extremely deplorable that even the wife, grandson and a staff were also killed,” she said in a text message.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Noli De Castro and Ted Failon on TV Patrol, one of the most credible news programs in the Philippines, Manila airport General Manager Jose Angel Honrado confirmed that there is no CCTV in the area where the shooting incident happened. Based on his revelation with ABS-CBN News, the installation of the CCTV cameras will be completed in July 2014.
