Sarah Geronimo increases lead in Starmometer’s ‘Covergirl of the Year’ poll with 24 hrs left in voting
With the voting ending just before midnight tomorrow, “Pop Princess” Sarah Geronimo has increased her lead over Angel Locsin in Starmometer’s 2013 Covergirl of the Year poll due to a strong Facebook presence.
Sarah’s magazine cover, the June 2013 Cosmopolitan has increased its lead over second place, Angel Locsin’s May 2013 MOD cover from a mere 10,000 votes 24 hours ago, to nearly 70,000 vote today, according to data from the Philippine Entertainment website.
Kim Chiu’s METRO April 2013 cover is in a distant third with more than 73,000 votes.
Ms. Geronimo is winning due to a strong voting presence on the social media website, Facebook, which has accounted for over 99 percent of her vote tally.
The website asks, “Who is the most glamorous covergirl among our 8 finalists?” The eight finalists include Angel Locsin – MOD May 2013, Anne Curtis – MEGA September 2013, Jessy Mendiola – METRO February 2013, Kathryn Bernardo – PREVIEW August 2013, Kim Chiu – METRO April 2013, Marian Rivera – COSMOPOLITAN March 2013, Megan Young – PEOPLE ASIA December 2013 and Sarah Geronimo – COSMOPOLITAN June 2013.
Starmometer says the poll ends 11:59pm of December 30, 2013. Results will be revealed on December 31.
