Saf Ahmed, HSBC bank staff who filmed fake ISIS video, fired
The six HSBC staff who filmed themselves in mock ISIS-style beheading during a team building day, have been fired.
The footage posted online by The Sun shows five men in black overalls and masks laughing as they stand over their colleague, Saf Ahmed, who is kneeling in an orange jumpsuit.
One of the workers shouts “Allahu Akbar”- Arabic for ‘God is great’ – with one of the workers posing as an executioner, using a coat hanger as a fake knife.
The insensitive video was only a few seconds long, but made it’s way onto Instagram and ultimately The Sun.
“The six men were on a day out at Teamworks Karting track in Birmingham organized by HSBC. In the seven-second video, five men in balaclavas stand behind kneeling Mr Ahmed, who is in an orange jumpsuit,” the Sun article described. ”
“As the men chant and yell, one raises the coat hanger above the “victim’s” head and another holds his shoulders…It is thought the HSBC men were in a Birmingham-based legal team. A source said: ‘It’s shocking they would think this is funny.'”
HSBC said: “We do not tolerate inappropriate behavior. As soon as The Sun brought this video to our attention we took the decision to sack the individuals involved. This is an abhorrent video and HSBC would like to apologize for any offence.”
