Ron Paul to speak at Midwest Homeschool Convention, launches Ron Paul Home School Curriculum
Former Texas Congressman and three-time presidential candidate, Dr. Ron Paul, has been a strong proponent of homeschooling his entire career. In fact, during his farewell speech to Congress last November, he suggested that the homeschooling movement would play a “revolutionary” role in restoring limited government.
Dr. Paul will be giving the keynote address at the Midwest Homeschool Convention in Cincinnati tonight, April 6 at the Duke Energy Convention Center. The Grand Finale-“An Evening with Dr. Paul” will close a three-day event expected to draw some 15,000 attendees.
Dr. Paul’s presentation will cite the role homeschooling plays in restoring limited government.
In addition to his speech tonight, Dr. Paul via Dr. Tom Woods announced the official launching of the Ron Paul Home School Curriculum today.
According to the website RonPaulCurriculum.com:
- Students learn the basics of Western Civilization and Western liberty — how it was won, how it is being lost, and how it will be restored. (Not can . . . will.)
- Students also learn the basics of American history, the United States Constitution, and American geography.
- They get two courses on free market economics. They get two courses on government, including a how-to course on reclaiming America, one county at a time.
- Students get mathematics, either through calculus or statistics or both.
- They get the basics of science: earth science, biology, chemistry, and physics.
- They also learn how to start a home-based business.
- And much, much more.
And as Tom Woods says on his website, you can test drive the curriculum for six years for free, as that will be the cost of Grades K-5.

I wonder if it teaches evolution or creationism.
“It” does’t teach. Parents (usually the mother) teach. There is no obligation to follow the curriculum.
Plus, homeschool is child oriented, not theory oriented. You don’t sit around discussing theories. You experiment, and practice, and play, and learn as is appropriate for the specific child.
