‘Rodan’ joins the action in International ‘Godzilla’ trailer
Fans have to see the new International trailer for Godzilla if they are not excited about the famous monster returning to the big screen. Full of action, this really sets up the big battle between the monsters and keeps up grounded with the human drama.
The highlight of the Asian trailer has to be Ken Watanabe’s character saying “Let them fight” as Rodan swoops onto the screen.
Maybe the mutant flying beast is not Rodan, but the all out battle between Godzilla and his radioactive counterparts will certainly take fans back to the Godzilla glory days.
The most recent featurette highlighted Godzilla’s iconic roar as fans get a clear look at director Gareth Edward’s creation.
“There’s nothing like that original Godzilla roar,” says sound designer Erik Aadahl. “It’s probably the most iconic sound effect from film history…We wanted to really pay homage to the original and use that as our starting point.”
Godzilla stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Sally Hawkins, Juliette Binoche, CJ Adams, Victor Rasuk and David Strathairn.
Godzilla arrives in theaters on May 16, 2014.
Here’s the official synopsis for Godzilla.
An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
