‘Ride Along 2’ star Arturo del Puerto and Daniel Zovatto join ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ season 2
Daniel Zovatto, known for his role from the horror flick It Follows has signed on to the AMC show for a recurring role in the season and it is expected he will be promoted to series regular in season 3 if his character is not immediately killed off. No names or specific details for Zovatto’s role was released at this time.
Additionally, Arturo Del Puerto, from Ride Along 2, will be playing a character named Carlos, a man said to be tightly guarded and has a “spiritual understanding of the world.”
Cinema Blend points out that a spiritual look at the zombie apocalypse may give a very fresh look at the world the series is set in but it doesn’t necessarily mean Carlos is a pastor or priest like Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) is in the main series.
Del Puerto will be seen next in Independence Day 2 while Zovatto’s next big screen appearance will be in Tri-Star’s Man in the Dark.
Cliff Curtis and Kim Dickens star on the spinoff show with Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey and Ruben Blades all set to return from season one. Lorenzo James Henrie, Colman Domingo and Mercedes Mason are also returning.
Fear the Walking Dead season 2 premieres this April 10.
